A Special Visitor and the Surgeon Update

Last night we had a very special visitor come by...EMILY! It was sooooo good to see my baby girl as I have never been this long without seeing her. (CC and Grandma Lloyd have been taking turns watching her for us and we are so grateful for their help.) Emily was so excited to see us and even gave baby Aiden a kiss. Too sweet! It really lifted my spirits seeing her even though she couldn't stay long since it was her bed time.

So far, Aiden has been keeping his Pedialyte down since 7 pm yesterday. Yay! He is also increasingly taking more at a time. At 4 am he took 2 oz but at 10 am he finally took 4 oz! This is the most he has eaten at one time since Wednesday. The surgeon came around at 10:30 this morning and said he thinks Aiden picked up a gastro virus that is unrelated to the surgery. Poor little man! The good news is that the doctor said we can start giving Aiden formula again at his next feeding, which will be around 2 pm. It will be diluted and we will have to work back up to full strength. If he can successfully keep it down, we will be able to go home. It looks like the earliest we would get to leave would be this evening, but right now we are having to play things by ear. We can definitely tell he is feeling better though because we are starting to see some smiles again!
Emily was trying to help take care of her little brother.
CC helped give Aiden his sitz bath.Emily decided it was only fair that she got to play in the water, too.

There's my smiling baby!
