Aiden LOVES Ellen!

Aiden gets so excited everyday when Ellen comes on TV. I have tried to explain his excitement to friends and family but a video is worth 1,000 words...

Happy Birthday, Emily and Daddy!

On January 6th Emily celebrated her 2nd birthday! We celebrated with a special lunch at Chick-fil-a with Aunt Jennifer where one of the employees gave her free ice cream with lots of cherries and a Chick-fil-a cow! After spending some time playing in the Play Place we went shopping! We ended the day at Pappasitos with CC, Leon, Aunt Jennifer, Jackson, Mason, Mommy, Daddy and Aiden. Emily ordered her favorite meal of rice and beans was super excited when she got MORE ice cream for dessert! I think she had a great second birthday filled with lots of ice cream and love from friends and family.
On Sunday, January 10th, we invited many of Emily's friends to her birthday party at Gymboree. The fun thing about having her party on the 10th is it was her Daddy's birthday! Emily and Daddy had special birthday stickers they wore at the party made by our favorite Gymboree teacher, Mrs. Rita. One of my favorite memories from the party was when Emily saw us unpack the cupcakes, she refused to go play with her friends in the gym until she got to eat one. She has a sweet tooth like her mommy! All the kids had a blast with the endless activities Mrs. Rita had planned from sliding down the air log to throwing each child in the air with a parachute. Here are a few photos from Emily's Gymboree party!Emily's pre-party cupcake
After a fun-filled afternoon at Gymboree, we headed over to Valley Ranch BBQ to celebrate Jon's birthday. (We couldn't forget him!!!) When we pulled into the parking lot, Emily was already sound asleep! She really wore herself out at her own party. However, the mention of food woke her right up and she was ready to party some more. Lots of family and friends gathered for dinner in honor of Jon, and we all had a wonderful time.
I want to wish my sweet Emily and wonderful husband a very Happy Birthday! I love you both more than words can say and our family would not be the same without you!

Happy New Year!

We welcomed in the new year at Chris and Kim's house with a very small gathering of our two families and Steve. The guys cooked out on the grill while the 3 cousins ran around and played. Around 9:30, Hailey and Aiden went to bed but Emmy was bound and determined to make it to midnight...and she did! I look forward to what 2010 has in store for us and hope it brings you peace and happiness. Happy New Year!
