6 Months Old!

Aiden turned 6 months old today! I can not believe how fast the time is going by. I know I say that all the time, but really! Wow! He is really getting good at rolling all around the room and I am sure it will not be long before he is running around the house with Emily. I will take him in on July 9th (the same time Emily will go in for her 18 month check up) for his shots, check up and measurements. Here is a picture taken this week of our happy little boy. I just melt when he smiles! He is definitely a 'Momma's Boy' and that is just fine by me!

The next Picasso?

We took a break from the heat one afternoon and went to the Children's Museum at The Woodlands Mall with Aunt Kelli and Abigail. Emily seemed really interested in the art center so I decided to put an apron on her and see what she would do. Well, let's just say the girl LOVES to paint! She was quite upset when it was time to give someone else a turn. While Emmy was busy creating her masterpiece, Abi and Aiden decided to give painting a try, too. We may just have a future artist in the family!

Happy Father's Day!

Emily and Aiden is truly blessed because they have the best daddy in the whole world! It is so much fun to see him interact with them, even when he is tired from a long day at work. He is so good with them and they love him so much! Today, in honor of Father's Day, we hung out as a family running errands, came home for a quick nap, then went to Red Lobster for dinner with Cappy, followed by swimming! What a long, but WONDERFUL day! We love you daddy!!! Happy Father's Day!

BBQ at the Lloyd's

On Saturday afternoon we went over to the Lloyd's house for a BBQ get together they were having. It always amazes me just HOW many people they know!!! Anyway, Grandma had purchased a swimming pool for all the kids to play in while the adults were eating and talking. Emily had fun in the water, but quickly wanted out because there were so many other things to look at and get into. Once we had her changed back into her clothes, the pool was all of a sudden interesting again! Funny thing was, the same was true for Hailey. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy from the BBQ.

Where's Emily?

Last night Emily got really quiet while playing in her room so I went to investigate what was going on. I found Miss Emily relaxing in her closet in a high chair. Silly girl!

Gymboree Fun

Today Hailey, Emily and Aiden's cousin, joined our Gymboree class. It was so much fun to see the girls running around the gym. They still play independently, but it won't be long before they are interacting. As of last week, Aiden even gets out on the floor and does some of his therapy activities with Grandma Lloyd as I chase Emily around. Here is a glimpse into our morning of fun.

Aiden as an arm rest

Emily really loves to cuddle with Aiden and is starting to be a little mommy to him. It is really cute when he cries because Emmy will go look for him a bottle, paci, or toy to help calm him down. She will even use him as an arm rest, or pillow, when she is watching tv. Sibling love is so sweet!

Our Future Baseball Player

Aiden has decided he will play baseball as soon as he is old enough. He was so excited about this decision that he begged us to get him an Astros t-shirt. Look how happy he is sporting it!

Discharged!

Last week Mrs. Marty, Aiden's occupational therapist, discharged him from his weekly therapy sessions! She called Aiden her miracle patient and I must say, I agree! He went from being technically blind, according to the opthamologist, to scooting around the floor, tracking objects and even reaching for toys in 4 short weeks! The opthamologist has his theories as to why things changed so quickly, but I think it is due to prayer. We are just glad that he is finally seeing the things around him! Here is Aiden and Mrs. Marty at his last therapy session.

Dedicated to Daddy

The other morning Emily was sleeping in fairly late...or so I thought. Her room was so quiet, at 9:15 am, so I tip-toed into her room to see if she was ok. I found Miss Priss looking contently out her window. It was so cute that I snuck back out to get the camera, hoping she would still be doing it when I got back. She was! I got a quick picture before she turned around and saw me. Daddy has been wanting me to post this, so...here you go, Daddy! We love you!

Random acts of cuteness

Here are a couple of my favorite pictures from the last few weeks. I am so blessed to have these little ones in my life. I love how they can always make me smile, even when I am having a bad day.

Palm Beach at Moody Gardens

A few months ago I hooked up with Mommy and I group that I found on the Internet. This group keeps us busy with play dates at the park, lunch at restaurants, trips to the museum, etc. Last week we went to Palm Beach at Moody Gardens to spend the day and I invited Aunt Kelli and Abi along with us. The girls had so much fun playing in the sand and swimming in the water while Aiden enjoyed his day at Memaw and Papaw's house playing in the AC! Notice how deep the water is that fearless Emmy is trekking through - with mommy close behind! During our lunch break, Emily was so exhausted that she fell asleep eating a cookie...her favorite part!
