Aiden Logan is HERE!!!!

Aiden was born this afternoon at 4:41 pm weighing 6 lbs 13.5 oz and measuring 20 inches! The labor was much shorter than Emily's but much more painful as the epidural wore off right at the end. All the tears, pain and labor was worth it though when I finally got to hold my sweet little boy for the first time. Here are some pictures of our new pride and joy! Isn't he beautiful?!? Hugs from Emmy before Aiden arrived. Aiden Logan's first close up!

Progress

So here is a quick update as to how labor is progressing...Around noon I met the nicest doctor at the hospital! He came in with an epidural to make all the contraction pains go away. It quickly took affect and I feel so much better now. Then about an hour ago my regular doctor came by and broke the water, checked dilation (which is now at 4 cm), and upped the pitocin. His guess is that Aiden will be here before 7 pm, so we will see!

Checked in and ready to go!

What a day it has been and it is only 7:45 am! No one really slept all that well last night, Emily included. I was up about every hour checking the time thinking we had overslept and Emily woke up at 2:30 am wanting a bottle and some cuddle time. At 3:50 I got up, took a shower, woke Jon up, then started throwing together last minute things I thought we would need at the hospital. By 4:40, we were on the road so we could make our 5 am appointment at the hospital! Lucky for us, CC spent the night so we did not have to get Emmy up and ready, too! Since we have been here, they have done blood work, paperwork, an IV, and some other fun procedures. The nurse came in just a minute ago to check my dilation, which is 3 cm, and start the pitocin. Now the waiting game begins! With any luck, Aiden Logan will be here today...

Aiden Update

It won't be long now!!! The count is on! Aiden has a scheduled induction for this Tuesday, December 30th! I have to be at the hospital at 6:30 am to begin the induction process. We are hoping that since I have been 1 cm dilated for 3 weeks, that Aiden's birth will not take as long as Emily's did. With Emmy, I was induced on a Friday evening and she was not born until 1:44 am on Sunday morning! (That is a LONG time of not being able to eat!!!) Anyway, we will try and keep the blog updated so you know what is going on and when he makes his grand entrance into the world. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers! Here is a picture of Aiden's nursery. I will post more once his valance, wall art, and vine are hung! Yes, a vine! We have a vine to hang above his crib that a monkey is going to hang from!

Merry Christmas!

Emily had a wonderful 1st Christmas! Santa came and brought her a house, a baby doll, and some Mickey Mouse things. From the moment I carried her into the living room she was all smiles! She KNEW that all the toys were for her and she couldn't wait to get down to play. CC, Aunt Kelli, Randy, and Abigail came over bright and early to open Santa gifts and exchange presents. Kelli and Randy made everyone delicious breakfast tacos while the girls took their first of many naps of the day. Later on, CC made a Christmas dinner of prime rib, mashed potatoes, garlic cream corn and rolls. YUM!!! Memaw, Aunt Kay, Kaitlyn, Mimi, Poppi, Aunt Sandy and cousin Chris stopped by for a little bit to bring the girls a present and get some Christmas hugs and kisses in. Later on, all of the Lloyd's came over for dessert and more presents! Emily now has more toys and clothes than she knows what to do with! What a lucky little girl to have so many people who love her! We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year!
Santa came!!!

He even brought Aiden few things!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, CC hosted a fun-filled family party where we sang and acted out "The 12 Days of Christmas", sang Christmas songs on karaoke, and opened our annual Christmas pajamas. Emily opened up her present from Memaw and Papaw, but REALLY enjoyed the box it was shipped in!

The Riley Family Christmas

Last night we had our family Christmas with the Riley's. My second cousins, Debi and Eric, hosted the party at their beautiful home in Plantersville. It was a fun evening filled with hay rides, a visit from Santa Claus (who came bearing gifts!), the annual gift exchange, and lots of good food. Emily enjoyed most of the hay ride and all of the food, but was NOT happy when Santa showed up! Here are some pictures from last night.

Meeting Santa Claus

Tonight we went with Jackson and Mason to see Santa Claus and Emily did SO well! She did not cry at all (which surprised me) and we were able to get a couple of good pictures. I guess she was too shy to tell Santa what she wanted for Christmas because she did not talk to him at all. Good thing mommy was there to tell him for her. Here are some pictures from tonight.

Happy 1st Birthday, Hailey!

Today is Hailey Nicole's 1st birthday! Last night we celebrated her birthday at her Grandma's house with lots of friends and family. Hailey really enjoyed playing with her cousins, tearing into her birthday cake, and being the center of attention. Here are some pictures from the party last night.
What a yummy cake!
