Emily and her buddy, Jackson, had a blast playing together this afternoon! It is very rare that we get to hear Emily burst into a full out laugh, but today Jackson had her cracking up! We think this is the most hillarious video ever and have decided to call it, "The Emmy and Jackson Show". So, sit back, relax, and enjoy!

I guess Emily has grown a little bit in the last 7 months...she just doesn't look the same in the hospital bassinet.

This morning my mom and I went up to the hospital around 6:45 to check on Kelli's progress and settle in for a long day of waiting. Around 8:30 the doctor came in, broke Kelli's water, and checked her. She was 2 cm. dilated. Kelli seemed to be in a lot of pain and Abi's heart rate kept dipping. The nurse suspected the cord may be wrapped around Abi's neck and had her lay on her right side. This was the only thing that seemed to help keep the heart rate up. By 9:45 Kelli was demanding an epidural and she didn't care who gave it to her...licensed or not! We were told the anesthesiologist was in the next room and would come over as soon as he was done. Around 10:30 the anesthesiologist finally made it over to try and relieve Kelli's growing pain. Much to our surprise, she was already 6 cm and they were guessing that Abi would make her grand entrance around noon. Kelli and Randy were instantly filled with excitement and nerves as nurses began filling the room getting things ready at 11:15. I have always known my little sister to have amazing strength and courage and this definitely came out during her labor and delivery. Abi was born at 11:44 am after a handful of great pushes and a lot of tears of happiness. The cord was wrapped around her neck 2 times and required a little extra oxygen, but both mommy and Abi are doing well. She weighed in at 7 lbs 6 oz and was 19 3/4 inches long.
I was blessed to be able to be in the room when Abi was born and all I can say is, WOW! What an awesome honor it was to be among the first to greet my beautiful new niece. I manned the camera after Abi was born and tried to capture every moment for Kelli. Here are some pictures of Abigail Mae. Isn't she adorable?!?

Abi Mae will be making her grand arrival any time now. We came up to College Station today so we would be here when all of the action started. Kelli was feeling a bit crampy and started having back pain but was able to make it through running last minute errands and eating out. As of Wednesday, she was already 80% effaced and 1 cm dilated but has not made any progress since. At 7:30 this evening, she was admitted to the hospital to be induced so hopefully Abigail Mae will be here some time tomorrow!!! Until then, we play the waiting game, which I am all too familiar with! :) Jonathan and I took Emmy swimming tonight at the hotel and she had a blast splashing and twirling through the water. Daddy even dunked her under water several times, and much to my surprise, she didn't even cry! Here are some pictures of the fun we had today. I will keep the blog posted with Abi updates so stay tuned!!!

Today I had a hair appointment with my favorite stylist, Nicole. After cutting my hair, Nicole suggested texturizing the back of Emmy's hair. You see...Emily was growing a mullet that went past her shoulder blades. A few minutes later, the mullet disappeared. Yay! Emily was very cooperative during her haircut. Thank you, Nicole for helping mommy and Emmy look better today!

Emily-Bemily turned 7 months old last week and man is this little girl changing! She is starting to take steps when we hold her by her hands and she is almost crawling - it will be interesting to see if walking comes before a 'real' crawl. Emily's cute little giggle has turned into high pitched squeals and it cracks us up every time we hear it. She can also sit in the highchairs at restaurants and in the shopping carts at the store. I am so glad we are finished with having to tote that heavy infant carrier everywhere. What is next, little princess?!? You are definitely starting to keep us on our toes, but we love every minute of it!

What?!?!?! Who gave her that donut hole? I plead the 5th, but I must say how funny it was to watch her with it. One thing is for sure, she looooooooved it!

Emily spent the morning playing with her puppies and working on perfecting her standing skills. She will sit for a few seconds, if we make her. Make her, you ask? Emily uses her strong little legs to bow herself backwards into your arms and push herself into a stand. Cute little pun'kin head!
