Emmy's New Look

Solids! Yummy!

Emily ate off rice cereal off of a spoon today for the first time. She LOVED it!!! Emily is always real big on using her hands, so of course, we ended up with cereal everywhere! Here are some pictures of Emmy enjoying her cereal.

My First Mother's Day!

Being a mother is such a rewarding job. Emily rewards me daily with her coos, smiles, and cuddles. Imagining life without her is now impossible. I can not even being to tell you what my first Mother's Day meant to me. Jon was so sweet! He helped Emily pick out a card and a Coach Swingpack for me. We ate lunch at Landry's with my mom, sister, aunt and grandparents. After a long day of playing (since Emily has decided that she does not like naps anymore) Emily took some pictures with me out in the yard. In these pictures, Emily was cracking me up as she was trying to lick the wind. What a cutie!

A Day at the Park

Last weekend Jon, Emily and I went to the Science Museum with Aunt Jennifer and her family. We went through the CSI exhibit where we had to solve a murder mystery and we watched a dinosaur movie at the IMAX. It was a lot of fun, but Emily got hot and cranky since she had to be held the whole time (no strollers allowed). When we left the museum we went across the street to walk through Hermann Park. It was a beautiful, windy day and our hot natured baby LOVED it! We put Emily in her stroller and she was all smiles. We all enjoyed our day of family fun!
