The Pumpkin Patch

This morning Emily and her cousin Abi went to the Pumpkin Patch to take pictures in their Halloween costumes. Emily was a bumble bee and Abi was a monster. We got the girls all dressed up, showed up bright and early to Pumpkin Patch, only to have little bumble bee, Emily, turn into a hornet! She quickly got hot and tired and let us all know that she was ready to go home! Cappy even tried to bribe Emmy with a dollar if she would smile for us but that did not work either. So, Mommy picked out a pumpkin to bring with us and once we got in the car, what do you know??? Emily was all smiles and talking up a storm! We let her play in her costume when we got home and took a few pictures of her with the pumpkin we got. The Pumpkin Patch did not turn out like I would have liked it to, but we made memories none the less!

Happy Birthday, Bella!

Emily went a Mickey Mouse birthday party today to help her friend, Bella, celebrate her 1st birthday. She wore a Minnie Mouse shirt and ears that her Aunt Melanie brought her from Disney World so that she would match the party theme! At the party there were cardboard cut outs of the characters all around and Emily was amazed to say the least! Her favorite one, of course, was Mickey. Here are a few pictures from the party.

Teasing Toby

Our dog, Toby, has a few favorite toys...his frogs and a green 'ball' (which is really a squeaky toy that he chewed the arms and legs off of and now resembles a ball). Emily has picked up on the fact that Toby does not like to share his toys unless you are going to play fetch with him. Over the last few weeks, she has taken it upon herself to get his ball and tease him with it every chance she gets. She will hold the ball out for him and when he goes to get it, she yanks it backwards and laughs. I finally was able to catch a few pictures of Emily tormenting Toby.

I love you, baby girl!

This is my favorite picture of Emily from this past week. Her little smile always warms my heart. I am the luckiest mommy in the whole world! I love you more than you will ever know, baby girl!

Getting Ready for Halloween

Emily has started getting ready for Halloween a little early by wearing some of her Halloween t-shirts. Isn't our little pumpkin so cute?!? Be on the lookout for some Pumpkin Patch pictures that will be coming soon! We are going to make a trip out there next weekend and Emily is going to wear her Halloween costume. She is going to be a bumble bee! Thanks to her Aunt Jennifer, she has a custom made bumble bee tutu, bow and onesie and we can't wait show off how adorable it turned out!

Fun in the Sun

Last weekend, the weather was so beautiful that we decided to spend some family time playing outside in the front yard. Emily had a great time playing with her toys and exploring the grass - even though it was a little prickly. Here are some pictures of our fun time together.

Playing with Abigail

Abigail came over to play for a little bit and one of the first things Emily noticed was her socks. You see, Emily is not a fan of socks or shoes and she tries to take them off as fast as she can. I guess she thought Abi did not need hers either and that she would get rid of them for her...permanently!

Nerding Out with Daddy

Yesterday Emily decided to see what World of Warcraft (Daddy's computer game) was all about. While she had fun nerding out with Daddy and banging on his keyboard, this is an activity that will not happen again for a long, LONG time! The last thing we need around here is 2 WoW addicts!

9 months old!

Emily turned 9 months old today! It is continues to amaze me as to how fast time has gone by. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital and now she crawling and into everything! We had a doctor's appointment today and found out she weighs 19 lbs 7 oz (the 50th percentile) and is 28" long (75th percentile). The doctor said she is progressing right on target. Best Friends

Emily has 2 very special best friends, Jackson and Mason. They are all so close that we consider them family. The boys have a way of making Emily crack up laughing by just looking at her. It is truly something you have to see to believe. She loves them to pieces! Here are some pictures of the 3 Musketeers.

Mason's Biggest Fan

Emily's buddy, Mason, has been asking when Emily could come watch him play baseball so tonight we finally went. Emmy was glued to the field as she watched the boys run the bases and throw the ball around. She cheered Mason on as he went to bat and made some all star plays in the outfield. In return, he helped his team win the game 20 to 17! I think she is officially Mason's biggest fan!

As mentioned in a previous post, Emily loves to play with CC's jewelry. One night Emily hit the jackpot when CC actually let her wear the David Yurman necklace and bracelet! What a special treat!!! Her bib says it all - 'Spoiled by Grandma'.
